Xi Chapter Welcomes New Members

The annual banquet of the XI Chapter was held on April 19, 2011, at the Wisconsin Club.  The banquet was attended by 137 members, guests and inductees.  This year’s guest speaker was Ms.Terri Mitchell, Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Marquette University. Ms. Mitchell gave a powerful presentation on the importance of developing student athletes into productive, ethical members of society as well as star athletes.

XI Chapter inducted nine students into OKU this year. They are Eddie Brotkowski, Kathleen Carranza, Andrew Eichholz, William Endicott, Kelly Jones, Michael Payne, Syrah Quraishi, Cole Stockheimer, and Martin Walsh.  Mr. Thomas Wirtz, Director of Dental Informatics, was inducted as an Honorary Member.

The "William S. Kramer Award of Excellence" was presented to junior student Ms. Cathleen Raz.  Dr. Paul G. Luepke was also recognized as the 2011 winner of the "OKU-Charles Craig Teaching Award". This award, presented annually by the Supreme Chapter, recognizes a junior faculty member at a component chapter dental school who has demonstrated new and innovative techniques in teaching the art, science and literature of dentistry.

Xi Chapter also inducted six life members. They include Drs. Robert Cassidy, Jerry Klicka, Richard Labinski, Mark Mandel, Otto Minshall, and Robert White.
